Hoppy Easter!

Hello everybody! I haven't played in a blog party in a while so I thought I'd join in on Pink Saturday....hosted by Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound. It's usually all about pinks but today she's doing an Easter theme & it's pinks & yellows. I know I said it was all or nothing w/ my Easter decorations but I lied. My back & shoulder are still bothering me terribly so I wasn't able to do much. There's lots of decorations still strewn about my upstairs den where I unpacked it (threw my back out unpacking it & haven't felt up to re-packing what I'm not going to use) but I won't share those pics w/ you. ;o) I will share a couple of pretty vignettes I created though.

My collection of sugar eggs. I have a big one w/ scene, medium w/ no inside diorama & a teeny, teeny tiny one (about 2"...it's under the dome) w/ a scene inside. I LOVE them & keep saying I'm gonna make one myself but here another year has passed & I still haven't followed through.

This one doesn't have scene inside but it sure is decorated pretty on top, huh?

This is the scene inside the big egg. Love all the details!

And look at the teeny bunny inside the small egg. That little bunny is probably only 1/2 an inch or so....amazing!

My HOPE sign turns to HOP when Easter comes around & often turns into POE for Halloween. LOL I love the sweet embroidered bunny on the table topper.

My mantel is all decked out w/ faux chcolate rabbits. I know I'm probably the only one in blogland still using then but I love them. One year I used real chocolate bunnies & then after Easter, hubby & I fondued them. LOL

I have a framed, sheet music cover from the 50's that goes w/ their theme. I also have a vintage Peter Cottontail sheet music cover but it didn't make it into the decor this year.

I added some of my carrot collection to my mini-curio.

LOVE this paper mache bunny...I've had him for years.

A few more carrots in this mini-curio. I usually don't allow any brass into my house unless it gets painted...I spent far too much time in the 80's polishing brass. LOL But I make an exception for these little curios. The tiara on top was a recent thrift find.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter! But don't eat too much candy. ;o)

What incredible decor - we don't do this for Easter in the UK, but next I'm definitely going to! I am also going to look out for those letters - another idea to "borrow". I love HOPE going to HOP and then POE. Fiendishly clever...

Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Easter!

Fabulous!!! You still did a lot of decorating. I hope your back gets feeling better. I had to laugh about your using real chocolate bunnies one year & then making fondue after Easter. Too funny! But a great idea. And I love the idea of using HOPE letters & turning them into HOP at Easter & POE at Halloween. Thanks for sharing what you did get done. Have a Happy Easter.

ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to take you mantle & transport it to my house!!!!!!!! I so love the chocolate bunnies! I don't care what anyone else thinks... I'm with you LOVE THEM! And in those jars they are adorable. You did a great job decorating for someone who is on injured reserve. :)
I didn't do a darn thing to decorate. That's not like me. Oh well, maybe next year. HUGS! Charlene

What beautiful decorations and those sugar eggs truly are quite amazing in their tiny details. Oh no! Fonduing the bunnies after Easter -- shameless. HA! Wishing you and yours many Easter blessings and much joy, :) Tammy

What lovely sugar eggs. My Mom made those for us when we were children...I lost all of them in a flood. But, wow, did those pictures bring back happy memories.

Thanks for sharing your lovely vignettes with us!
