Rose Wednesday resumes today!

I'm still trying to get all my Christmas decor down so I thought I'd just share a rose of a different sort.

Meet Rose....my rare, beautifully colored parakeet. Isn't she gorgeous? I just love her coloring of blue, yellow & white. Visitors often ask me how I can tolerate the noise she makes but it's music to my ears. I love the sound of birds...inside, outside...makes no difference to me. I used to keep a cage of finches just because I love their voices.

Are you digging her disco ball? *grins* Her cage is about due for a make-over though as I bought her a mini-chandelier Christmas ornament for it. Hope to hang it soon!

I've had several of you ask for an update on my grandson, Noah. This is one of those cases where no news is good news. He's had no more seizures, thank God! He'll be on anti-seizure meds for at least a year & will have to continue to see a neurologist but I am very hopeful that this was just a minor blip in his development. Keep the prayers coming though....they are always welcome!

If you like roses, head over to Jan's Rose Haven to see some lovely treasures.

Aw Rose is precious!
I love her disco ball.
We have a yellow cockatiel named Lloyd that we've had for nine years.
He's really sweet.

I'm glad Noah is doing better. Keep us posted.

Have a wonderful Rose Wednesday. ~Melissa :)

What a lovely post...and thanks for participating in ROSE Wednesday.

Rose is so cute...can't wait to see her cage make-over!! LOL!!!

I'm using a new Rose Wednesday button...you can pick it up on my blog. And if you click on the title of ROSE WEDNESDAY on my blog post, you get a "hyper-link" - http://jt-jantom.blogspot.com/2009/01/rose-wednesday.html - and if you include that for the LINK to my blog, it makes it easier for others to find that post on my blog...and to visit the others who are participating.

~Blessings,
Jan

I have been wondering how Noah was doing - thank you for the update. Let's hope it was just a little blip! For what it is worth, I had a seizure when I was 2 years old, and now 68 years later, I've never had another one. Sally

Rose, the bird is gorgeous! Love her colors. We used to have parakets and really did enjoy them. Such great news about Noah. A friend of mine went through the same with her granddaughter when she was very young and she has been symptom free for years. She is 6 now. Hoping the same for your sweet one.

Hi Cami, what a lovely post. Rose is so sweet. I love to hear birds too. I don't have any inside because of all the rescue cats I have but I sure do enjoy them outside, I feed them all year round an in the summer I enjoy the hummingbirds so much.
Bless You, Shirl
