Happy New Year!

And time for another Trim a Tree Thursday, hosted by Brett over @ The Southern Hostess. If you'd like to play along, you haven't missed out just because Christmas is past. It will continue through-out the year...you can continue to post Christmas decor or feature seasonal decor, like snowmen. Then there's always Valentine's, Easter, Memorial Day, etc. There are lots of holidays & many of us put up a little somethin' somethin' for most of them.

I wanted to share w/ y'all how I used some of the brush trees I featured in last week's post. I placed them under glass. Let's hear a collective "Of course she did!" ;o) I placed 3 graduating sizes on a bejeweled mirror "plateau", added a bone china chihuahua I gave hubby & topped it w/ a glass dome off an anniversary clock.

This little chi looks a lot like hubby's Baby. I got her as a souvenir for him on my trip to Salado last month.

My wish for all of you is that long after the Christmas lights are gone, your new year will remain bright & happy!

Ooops! Looks like I am the only one playing today y'all. Somewhere I must have missed the post that it wouldn't be held today. Oh well...my new year's wish for you all remains the same!

I've packed all of my brush trees away, but may have to dig them out again. How charming yours look! I even have an anniversary clock that I could borrow the dome from!! Thanks for the inspiration. Sally
