BooMama's Christmas Tour of Homes

Hello & welcome to BooMama's Christmas Tour of Homes. I've already participated in a few holiday parties & have many pictures in previous posts, but I thought y'all might be interested in getting a better look at the goodies, in the picture on my header.

I pared down my Santa mug collection last year, only keeping the old ones. I had some newer ones that were nicer than some of these but I'll take old over "nice", nearly every time. I have been passing up any that have significant loss of paint but I recently saw some all white mugs somewhere. She said that she just scrubbed the peeling paint off her's so now I'll snag even those w/ peeling paint.

My absolute favorite! It has a winking eye that really winks! This is one angle....

Move a bit & get another perspective & it's open!

A close runner-up for my favorite. This one also offers a wink & has beautiful green jewel eyes. I have a pair of these...would love to find a pair w/ blue eyes.

I have a pair of these also.

Love the sweet expression on this Santa's face!

This is also one of a pair.

I filled this punch bowl w/ vintage Christmas corsages. Nothing embodies the festive nature of the season, more than the attitude the women of the 50's & 60's had, when they wore a Christmas corsage pinned on their jacket!

I have quite a few & yes, I actually wear some of them. My family teases me about it but I do it anyway. *grins*

Look how gloriously tacky they are!!!!! Aren't they great?

There's a lot of party-goer's in BooMama's Christmas Tour of Homes & Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality is also hosting a Christmas tour....we should have eye candy all month!

Ooh, I had a mug like one of those when I was a child. Thanks for sharing. I'm a new grandmother and hope one day to make it my profession, too! :)

Cami, you have my heart! I LOVE the old Santa cups & pictures. In fact, I copied your idea for displaying mine this year. Stop by later in the week as I'm going to show some of my old Santas and elves...yes, I collect them too! :O) We need an intervention, don't we??? LOL!

Here from Boomama's. Your decorations are so unique! I love the way you've displayed your mugs. And those corsages just made me smile because I'm sure I've got a few of those laying around but never thought to put them in a bowl. Great idea! Merry Christmas.

I love the corsages, as I remember them well. Everyone had one, and they usually had two bells on them - ringing in the joy of the season!! Sally

I love those old corsages too. I think women stopped wearing them when we went from wool coats to bulky parkas, or I should say that I think that holds true in Michigan and other cold winter states.

I have never seen such neat Santa mugs! I have a couple of vintage ones, but none who have a eye that really winks or a green eye! And I love your Christmas corsages. You are a girl after my heart! Love it all. laurie

Well, I'm just laughing over the corsages. I had just posted some pictures to family our mother's and grandmother's with their Christmas corsages on...late 60's, early 70's. No Christmas outfit was complete without a "gaudy" corsage! Wish I had them now.
