But one day, I googled tuna recipes & this one came up in the search. It sounded interesting & I had all the ingredients, so why not? It's actually a tuna burger but I served it open-face on a toasted english muffin. I did make the avocado dressing that was in the same episode & you'll want to too....yummm! I also added the worcestershire & sesame oil as mentioned in several reviews....nice flavor addition! Oh! I subbed roasted red pepper for the pimento & don't use canned tuna...use the stuff in a pouch.
A little tip I have, is that you should make up the burgers ahead of time & refrigerate. They'll flip a lot easier, w/ less chance of falling apart, if you do. A side of sliced plums & it's a light, tasty dinner for a hot summer night.
You can find both recipes here at foodnetwork.

A tuna burger would make my hubby so happy. The fact that you got it from Paula Deen makes it a winner too. :)
This looks wonderful. It's a nice recipe and not at all hard to do. Thanks for the tip about chilling before grilling. Have a wonderful day.
this realy looks good...always on thelookout for things to do with canned tuna or salmon...have you ever made fishcakes made with tuna and mashed potatoes....they are really good....oh, I'm getting hungry....and i have to agree with you paula is a bit old to be flirting with anybody....what turned me off to her was seeing her on Kathy Griffin's D-List show...Kathy visited her at her house in S.C. which is gorgeous...anybody would be thrilled to live in such a beautiful home....What does Paula do....her dogs go to the bathroom all over the house...all over her rugs...it was disgusting....she has no class...she just laughed.
Thanks for visiting me and for your lovely comment. you have a charming blog and the burger looks delicious. i'll try it for sure! thanks for the recipes.
Have a sweet wk,
Rosa from Portugal
Yep...if it came from Paula Deen, it must be great!
Thanks!
Oh yum. this looks delicious.
Cami, LOL, I haven't cooked anything of Paula's for about the same length of time for the exact same reason. I was very disappointed in her behavior and that turned me off of her food. I suppose I'm getting over it because I do like much of her cooking, and I don't have TV anymore so I don't see any more of her embarrassing antics. I can just focus on the food, grins.
I feel exactly the same way you do about Paula--and I'm no prude either ;)
The tuna burger looks delicious--I must try it!
I'm not a big recipe collector, but I have to go check out that one!
Mmmm... sounds pretty tasty. Thanks for sharing.
