My Wizard of Oz gang

My daughter had a wonderful idea to dress up all the grands as characters from the Wizard of Oz for Halloween this year. With the birth of baby Noah, we have enough grands for the whole cast. *grins* Connor, who's 10, wasn't really on board w/ the idea (he wanted a "cool" costume) so we bribed him w/ tickets to Nascar. ;o)

The kids were so excited that I couldn't get a good shot of all of them together so I snapped some of them, while trick or treating. Here's the Scarecrow & the Tin Man.

Here's the Cowardly Lion & Dorothy. This little girl has very definite ideas on how Dorothy should look & "she doesn't wear pigtails!" ;o)

And here's Dorothy's little dog Toto. Isn't he the cutest thing? My kids tease me because they say, that I say, that every table "is my prettiest!", every Christmas "is the best yet!" & every new baby "is the cutest!" but by golly, I think he is!

I hope everyone had as good a Halloween as I had. To have all my family together, Clifton doing well & a new baby....life is grand!

Awww....Hope you had a Happy Halloween! We had a "party" for our kids which began as simply apple cider and snacks then finished as a late get together with family, friends and neighbors! Thanks for stopping by to see our home at The Old Painted Cottage. Jennifer took those photos a year ago and our home has changed so much since then!

Cute, cute chidlren and costumes. Two of my grandchildren went as "Dorothy" and the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz this year. Since that is one of my favorite books/movies, I am excited to see that children still know about it. laurie

Of course I zeroed in on Dorothy's sparkly red shoes--I've always wanted her shoes.

Your grands are adorable, as always!
