3 or More Tuesday

For today's 3 or More Tuesday post, I am sharing some of my cherub collection. I leave at least some of them out all the time but for Valentine's they are the star of the show. I know cupids are the real winged icons for Valentine's but cherubs have such a romantic appeal to them that I think they work also.

This little pair of wooden wings, hubby & I found while 'tiking recently. Would you believe 50 cents?!?!? They've been broken off something but I don't care...I LOVE them! I'm not sure what that purple mark is. It's not really on the wing...must be some fluke of the light.

This is one of a pair of cherubs that I bought @ a thrift store (of course I did! *grins*) . They were so ugly & cheap-looking that I wasn't sure I hadn't overpaid by paying $1 a piece. After a good cleaning, including soaking in bleach, I hit them w/ some shoe polish & rubbed it off. Now they look great & I can't believe they were ONLY $1.

The other one of the pair. This is a true cupid because he has a quiver & an arrow.

Connor gave me this one. I think I'm making a tassel out of it.

Sorry about teh glare!

See the cherub peeking out from this vignette?

Cherubs, cherubs, everywhere! They're in apothecary jars.

And even one in an ironstone urn.

Isn't this trio sweet?

I have many more that didn't "make the cut" for Valentine's. I'll share them another day. Visit Tam @ The Gypsy Corner to see all the other collections!

  3. My favorite are the wings & the last photo w/ those gorgeous red plates. As someone asks me, where do you store everything? Michael's has some pretty aged cherub/angels in their spring line. Would love to see the tassel if you convert it.
